Project Overview

VISION: Safe, accessible walking areas that are heavily used by residents and visitors of all genders, ages and cultures.
MISSION: Include strategies and activity goals to increase the public’s awareness of opportunities to get out and exercise in the community, enhance current walking trails with appropriate signage, educate the community and stakeholders on complete streets and create a safe and walkable community.
MISSION RESULTS:
• Roseville will be a recognized walkable city where pedestrians are at the heart of how the city operates.
• Our pedestrian environment will be accessible and inclusive to all in the community.
• Our road crossings, streets and laneways will be safe and welcoming with more pedestrian crossings, priority zones and reduced vehicle speeds that make walking more attractive.
• Our streets and activity centers will be built around walking with wide high-quality footpaths, an interconnected network and abundant public space for outdoor dining, trading, and socializing
• Walking will be the mode of choice for short trips including walking to school, ensuring no one is disadvantaged by not having access to a private vehicle or public transport.
• Walking routes will be green, shaded and welcoming places for moving, meeting and resting
Do Good Roseville is not the organizer of the Roseville Walking Plan, but we are supporting it because it’s good for our community!

Phase 1 – Beginning July 2024

Walking Audit Information Session
Tuesday, July 16
6:30 pm to 8:15 pm
Roseville City Hall
We are looking for volunteers to participate in an AARP Walk Audit of the streets and pathways in Roseville. This is the first phase of the development of a Roseville Walking Plan.
A walk audit is a facilitated walk of an area designed to get folks thinking about and experiencing how the environment works for all users, not just cars, and discussing how to make it better.
You will be able to choose where in the City you want to do an audit, as well as the date and time to do it. You can do the audit together with your family and friends! To find out more, please come to our free information and training session.
