On Saturday, Feb 1, 35 volunteers worked together to host our first ever Family Service Fair! A Family Service Fair is a series of stations which feature kid- friendly, hands-on service-learning projects for local non-profits. The idea came from Doing Good Together which is an amazing organization dedicated to raising kids that care and contribute.
At our fair, the hard-working volunteers greeters families and were in charge of 10 different projects. Everyone who came moved from table to table helping with projects for various non-profits.
We don’t want to limit the good works to just 2 hours. Many of the projects can be done at home. For a list of projects, click here.

Everyone got a warm welcome!

Roseville Optimist Club members, Barb and Bill, did a collection of hygiene supplies for Bridge to Basics.

Many people tried their hands at painting rocks with warm messages for Brighter Days Grief Center.

Choosing fabric to be made into tams for infants as well as cutting ribbons for Bundles of Love was another project.

Next was an opportunity to make cheery cards for Cards for Hospitalized Kids.

Tissue paper and pipe cleaners were used to make this Forever Flowers that Do Good Roseville will deliver to seniors for May Day.

Valentines Day wishes were the project we did for Friends and Company. They will be sent to seniors who have signed up to get mail.

How about a joke with your meal? We made cards that will be delivered along with meals from Roseville Area Community Education Meals on Wheels program.

5 kids will receive nice warm polar fleece blankets with their new beds from My Very Own Bed.

Heartfelt messages of gratitude with colored pictures were made for service members and first responders for Operation Gratitude.
And last, but not least, we took care for foster cats and kitties by making catnip toys for Pet Haven.
