Better Together is the biggest volunteer event of the year when Feed My Starving Children joins with MN Adult & Teen Challenge and Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities to pack 1 MILLION MEALS IN 2 DAYS at the Grandstand Building at the MN State Fairgrounds.
Open Cities Health Clinic was at the Rice Street Gardens to provide vision screening and education. This screening was open to people who have an assigned plot in the gardens or their family members.
This is a 4 part clinic provided by Open Cities Health Clinic in partnership with Do Good Roseville.

Our September TED Talk Discussion Group was based on the talk: “How to Make Stress Your Friend” by Kelly McGonigal.

We began a 2 part series: Let’s Talk About Death, where we explored new thinking around death and end-of-life care.
We started our series by covering the often-misunderstood topic of hospice. Our panelists from the hospice care community discussed the basics and misconceptions around hospice and how families can benefit from this comfort care.
Open Cities Health Clinic provided Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening and Education.
We were pleased to co-sponsor this event with the Kiwanis Club of North Suburban St. Paul.

Join us for our very last TED Talk Discussion Group! The series is ending after 4 years! This month’s talk will be on climate change.
This was the second program in our series: Let’s Talk About Death, where we explore new thinking around death and end-of-life care.
In this session, we’ll learned about the new work of Death Doulas, trained but non-medical professionals who provides physical, emotional and spiritual support at the end of life. Death Doulas Jane Whitlock and Anne Murphy provided a variety of supportive services to families who are facing death of a loved one, including creating family rituals, legacy planning, personalized memorials and celebrations, and how to make this transitional meaningful and personal.
